"Are you sure you want to tackle such a difficult genre? Why not start with something like romance or fantasy?"
"Are you sure you want to tackle such a difficult genre? Why not start with something like romance or fantasy?""Have you considered using a pseudonym so people don't know you're a woman?""It must be nice to be able to work and be home with your children." Because when a man writes, it is his job, but for a woman it is just a hobby, right? Women writers from across the world are using the "ThingsOnlyWomenWritersHear" hashtag to share the cringe-worthy sexist comments they have to deal with regularly. These comments - funny in a sad way - also reveal how women are often undervalued for the work they do, and their skills and hard work downplayed when compared to that of men.  It must be nice to be able to work and be home with your children. #ThingsOnlyWomenWritersHear — shannon cox goodall (@scorley2002) April 18, 2017 "Wait, so she never falls in love?" #ThingsOnlyWomenWritersHear (The amount of times I've been asked on Wattpad is ridiculous )— Em (@xXLadyEmXx) April 17, 2017 Wait up, you did so much research? Would you consider writing a romcom? #ThingsOnlyWomenWritersHear— Lisa Gifford (@LisaGifford) April 21, 2017 Guy: Let me explain this short story to you. Me: I wrote that story.
